The course is a continuation of History of Art Part 1. Students learn the chronology of the development of art (painting, sculpture, engraving, architecture) of XVI-XX centuries (until WW2) in Europe and partly in Russia. They develop skills of recognition and characterization of the artistic styles, knowledge of the works of leading artists, definition of genre characteristics of art works. They work on the development of visual memory and the capability to make artistic analysis.
