The course is designed to introduce students to the basics of spatial planning with a view to their future participation as specialists in complex spatial activity. Students will be acquainted to the development of spatial solutions from antiquity to present; the specifics of the contemporary spatial planning; the factors and preconditions of the territory planning; the problems and trends of spatial planning development in Bulgaria, types of planning schemes, the procedure for environmental impact assessment (EIA) of the schemes.
