The course syllabus covers the following topics:
Differentiation of functions of several variables.
Local and conditional extrema.
The Method of least squares.
Parametric set of curves and surfaces, curvature and torsion.
Multiple integrals and line and surface integrals.
Ordinary and partial differential equations.
Particular attention is paid to the application of studied mathematical objects in mechanics and other specialized courses – defining the surface, volume, mass, centre of gravity, moments of inertia, vector field work.
In private study classes students are expected to solve problems from the list of problems, given to them at the beginning of the course.
