Main topics: The study program of the academic subject "Road Construction" comprises:
General technical requirements for road classification, road-laying (tracking) and structure components; Basics of designing the layout of a road plan, choosing the radii of the horizontal curves, calculation and practical use of transitional curves; Longitudinal profile of a road, choosing the radii of the vertical curves, marking (tracking) of the same and ensuring visibility; Widening of paving and reshaping of the same in horizontal curves; Types of roadways, interaction between roads and vehicles; Cross sections of roads; Components of road pavings, earth bed, foundation layers of paving, types of road surface; Asphalt mixes and technology for laying asphalt paving; Concrete paving.
Additional form of training "Consultations with a professor" - 15 hours, provided that a part of a course-work may be developed - a road strip plan (case-study) and longitudinal cross-section.
In extra-curricular sessions, it is scheduled for conducting practical training, which lasts six hours - visiting a site of the transport infrastructure.
