Main topics: Defining statically indeterminate systems according to the force method. Solving statically indeterminate frames with temperature impacts and forced support displacements. Lines of influence for forces, reactions and displacements in statically indeterminate systems. Statically indeterminate continuous beams. Solution according to the force method. Clapeyron’s method. Lines of influence for the support reactions and cross-section forces. Determining the displacements in statically indeterminate systems due to: external load, temperature impacts and forced support displacement. Solving statically indeterminate trusses with external load, temperature impacts and forced support displacements. Lines of influence for the rod forces in statically indeterminate trusses. Statically indeterminate arch structures. Defining statically indeterminate systems according to the deformation method. Application of the deformation method for the solution of frames with force impacts, temperature impacts and forced support displacement. Application of the deformation method for solving continuous beams. Mixed method for investigating statically indeterminate frames. Essence of the finite element method (FEM). Principal scheme of the computer software programmes using the finite element method. Solving statically indeterminate problems with FEM using the SUPERSTAT software programme.
