VSU is a higher education institution, which offers undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs in the professional field: Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, as follows:
- Degree Program “BUILDINGS AND INSTALLATIONS CONSTRUCTION” (code CCC):
- a. for educational degree “Bachelor” with professional qualification “Construction (Civil) Engineer”:
- Full-time course of studies – 4 academic years (8 semesters);
- Part-time course of studies – 5 academic years (10 semesters).
- b. for educational degree “Master” after Bachelor’s degree with specialization “Building Structures”:
- Full-time course of studies - 1,5 academic year.
- c. for educational degree “Professional Bachelor”:
- Full-time course of studies – 3 academic years (6 semesters);
- Part-time course of studies – 3,5 academic years.
- Degree Program “ARCHITECTURE” – for educational degree “Master” with professional qualification “Architect”:
- Full-time course of studies – 5,5 academic years.
- Degree Program “CONSTRUCTION AND ARCHITECTURE OF BUILDINGS AND INSTALLATIONS” (code CACC) – for educational degree “Bachelor” with professional qualification “Engineer-Architect”:
- Full-time course of studies – 4 academic years (8 semesters).
- Degree Program “BUILDINGS RENOVATION AND DESIGN” (code CDC) - for educational degree “Professional Bachelor”:
- Full-time course of studies – 3 academic years (6 semesters).
- Part-time course of studies – 3,5 academic years.

Language of instruction
Lectures, seminars and tutorials at VSU are generally held in Bulgarian.
There are possibilities at VSU for individual instruction of incoming exchange students and for working out course/final projects in English, German or French language.
Students in the full Degree Programs, whose native language is not Bulgarian, must be able to demonstrate that they possess the proficiency in Bulgarian required for a course of study, or pass a 1-year preparatory course in Bulgarian language. |
