In the School functions accredited Laboratory for Testing Inorganic and Organic Materials and Products (LINOMI). In the Lab's teamwork experienced specialists whose basic aim is the introduction and use of modern standard methods and harmonized European quality standards of the building products. It works on an established quality system according to the requirements of the Bulgarian State Standard EN ISO/IEC 17025:2001.

LINOMI is a desired partner for the performing of tests for different companies and institutions working in the construction sphere. Through the Lab there is provided the direct relation of the students' education with the practice, it establishes the competency of the academic staff and it increases the VSU prestige as an education and scientific institutions.

In the Lab's range are included tests of materials and products in the following basic directions:

1. Mineral and Organic binding materials and products from them: construction lime, plaster, cement, dry mixtures for glues, ground coats, pargets and putties, dispersing glues, bitumens and primers, joint mixtures and gaskets.
2. Rock materials: additive materials for solutions and concretes; stone flours, paving stones and tilling.
3. Construction solutions and concrete mixtures; chemical additives, hard-set solutions and concretes, concretes and reinforced concrete materials.
4. Construction Ceramics; Fireproof materials
5. Paints, varnishes and cover materials, anti-corrosion protection materials.
6. Flexible and inflexible bitumens, plastic and rubber oilskins and lists for hydro isolation, geotextiles.
7. Heat-isolation inorganic and organic materials and products from mineral and glass wool, foam-polystyrene, foam-polyurethane etc.
8. Systems and Elements for pipelines from PE, PP, PVC, assembled pipes.
9. Construction soils.
